Completed Drive at UT Southwestern!

Writer's picture: Ethan SheaEthan Shea

Today, we took our organization to the UT Southwestern Medical school to spread our message about the national bone marrow registry. I would like to thank Dr. Angela Mihalic and Suzette Smith for making this event possible. They were gracious enough to put information about our drive into the student newsletter, so many of the medical school students already knew what they were doing. The students at the school represent the future of medicine and are the perfect age range to join the registry. We spent the entire afternoon at the UT Southwestern Medical school student center, which resulted in a successful turnout of almost 40 people. This raises our total to nearly 950. As always, any one of these people could be a match to a patient in need and may save a life.

Once again, we were assisted by a great team of volunteers that featured many familiar faces, but we also had some new volunteers. Thank you to all those helped, whether you have been to every drive or if this is your first one!
